I haven’t posted on Substack in a while and have been enjoying my creative break.
But I’ve still been taking care of my clients and couldn’t help but notice how fascinating they are..
Mountain climbing. Salsa dance competitions. Learning Italian on Duolingo. Black diamond skiing. Renovating homes. Reiki and yoga mastery.
You know what I do for a hobby? I read. Reading doesn’t get me a dopamine high but it does expand my world, and part of my job is helping you to expand your world as well.
So here are three amazing quotes from three books I’ve read in the past three weeks.
“Choose happiness not success as your life’s goal. If you become successful but aren’t happy, then what is the point?” from The Things You Can See Only When You Slow Down by Haemin Sunim
“Adults tend to become more agreeable, conscientious, emotionally stable, and less neurotic with age, but less open to experience. In middle age, adults grow more consistent and cautious but less curious, open minded, and inventive.” from Range by David Epstein
“Challenging situations create the force needed to bring about change. The problem is that we generally use all the stirred up energy intended to bring about change to resist change.” from The Surrender Experiment by Michael Singer
Do any of these resonate?
If you’re not fully happy in your love life, what are you going to do about it?
That’s a perfect segue to this week’s podcast…
Are You Subconsciously Avoiding Dating?
I once took a poll and discovered that 40% of my mailing list was not dating at all. These are women who had enough interest in the subject matter to reach out to me for dating advice, but, for their reasons, chose not to use it.
I feel for them.
When all your past relationships have been disappointing, it's natural to feel afraid and paralyzed when it comes to dating. The problem is that you'll never find love if you don't date.
In this Love U Podcast, I'm going to nudge you to stop letting fear win.
Being Open-Minded and Inventive
Since I’ve been working less and observing more this summer, I’ve had a chance to observe my family in its natural habitat:
My wife has been sleeping until 10:30am every day.
My son has been going to the mall with friends for 5 hrs per day.
My daughter has been reading and texting in her room all day.
As for me, I’ve been in experimental mode:
Last month, I launched a special 45% discount for Love U and created a short application for women who want to work with me.
Three weeks ago, I took two days off to bring my wife to Solvang and Los Olivos for some steak, wine tasting, and hotel sex. (What? It’s true!)
Last week, I took pickleball lessons on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, just because everybody told me that I HAVE to. (It was fun. I’ll do it again.)
Now, I want to ask you to look within and ask yourself these questions:
1. What is your natural habitat? What is your default setting? What have you been doing reflexively for years and never bothered to question it?
2. What could you do differently RIGHT NOW to increase the joy in your life?
If you conclude that you want to do something different, now’s the time.
There are no negative consequences; just experiments!
Do You Want Instant Transformation?
Something has come across clearly in talking to women like you for the past few years:
You’re busy and you want results FAST. I hear you!
So for the first time, I’m opening up a VIP day - at my home in Los Angeles - for ONE smart, successful, action-oriented woman who has been sitting on the sidelines, wanting love but not knowing where to begin. On our VIP Day, we will:
Do a full intake of your childhood, parent’s history, and dating history.
Reveal connections and blocks that have been preventing you from love.
Take you through all six pillars of Love U: Confidence, Meeting Men, Dating, Understanding Men, Relationships, and Commitment - with exercises you can keep.
Write you a brand new online dating profile that can be repurposed on any site.
Create a customized action plan that will get you the confidence and skills to be able to date consistently and attract your person.
If you’re interested, click the button below, fill out a short application and, if you’re a good fit to be my first VIP, we’ll set up a quick phone call next week.
Warmest wishes and much love,
Evan
