I am probably contributing to the "lack of attraction" problem, but I also wanted to add that a lot of men have zero photos of them smiling on their profiles. I usually swipe left on those profiles. A neutral or serious expression (some guys also make faces that seem like they're constipated - maybe that's the male version of duckface?) doesn't really convey warmth, friendliness, or happiness.
I don't disagree with your observation about what men can do better. My issue, in general, is how the belief that there are no attractive men impacts your dating experience. Imagine I suddenly tickled one of these serious guys and they smiled. NOW he's attractive? Same guy from a second ago? I know you can't force yourself to do anything - nor should you have to - but please understand, men don't know what they're doing when it comes to beauty/fashion/photos and that doesn't say very much about whether they're good people.

Using facebook at all is a terrible idea for your mental health. Just delete your account and every aspect of your life will improve.
